Moselle home withstands Monday night storms

MOSELLE, MS (WDAM) -

A Moselle man who was at risk of losing his home after Monday night's flooding has made the decision to move out of his home.

Bruce Frazier's home on Turtle Bluff Road was 15 feet from the Leaf River until what he described as an eddy hole washed away a majority of his property's foundation.

Frazier was waiting approval for a permit by the CORPS of engineers Monday before the flooding in hopes of packing more dirt under the house.

Frazier said he was worried that Monday night's flooding could cause his home to collapse.

"I mean, I filled it twice and  the core engineers cant do anything about it," said Frazier. "I'm in touch with FEMA now, but it's not just affecting me it's gonna affect that neighbor there and this neighbor here and it's getting her house too, but they won't help you."

Frazier plans on using two bulldozers to move his house further into his property.
