Toronto (WOIO) - One night after lighting up the scoreboard in Toronto with 15 runs on 22 hits, the Indians forgot to bring their bats again, falling to the Blue Jays, 4-2 at the Rogers Centre on Thursday.
David Murphy provided the first Indians run with a solo home run in the fifth, and Yan Gomes added an RBI single in the 8th, it wasn't enough.
Danny Salazar started for the Tribe and lasted only four innings, giving up two solo home runs in the second to Edwin Encarnacion and Juan Francisco.
Encarnacion would homer again three innings later, taking C.C. Lee deep to left with a two-run shot to give the Blue Jays a cushion.
