Arlington, TX (WOIO) - Lonnie Chisenhall's bat has been hot all season, but Monday night, the Indians' first baseman put on a performance that was downright historic. Chisenhall went 5-for-5, belting three home runs, and driving in a club-record 9 runs, as the Indians took three out of four from the Rangers with a 17-7 win.
Michael Brantley belted his 10th home run of the season, equalling his total from last season, and Jason Kipnis also drove in four runs, but the night clearly belonged to Chisenhall.
The win was the Tribe's 9th in their last 10 games, and moves the Indians to within two of the first-place Tigers, who lost to the White Sox in Chicago.
