Cleveland chapter of the American Outlaws to host World Cup Watch Parties for U.S. Matches

(WOIO) -

When the United States Men's National Soccer team takes the field in Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the most dedicated fans in the Cleveland area will be watching on the many screens at Merry Arts Pub & Grille. For every U.S. match, the Cleveland chapter of the American Outlaws will host watch parties that are open to the public.

"If going to Brazil is out of the question," said chapter president Chris Morris, "than Merry Arts is the only place to be for the World Cup. Watching with the American Outlaws is the closest thing you can get to being in the stadium. We bring the atmosphere and the intensity to every watch party."

On June 16 at 6 p.m. eastern time, the United States will play its first of three matches against the other members of Group G, facing Ghana in Natal, Brazil. On June 22 at 6 p.m., they face Portugal in Manaus, Brazil and finish group play with Germany in Recife, Brazil on June 26 at 12:00 p.m. The first match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup will feature host country Brazil against Croatia on June 12. The final match, which drew a televised audience of 700 million in 2010, will be played on July 13. There will also be a watch party for the final send-off series match June 7 at 5 p.m. when the U.S. plays Nigeria in Jacksonville, FL.

Merry Arts Pub & Grille is located at 15607 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood, OH. During the matches, there will be 50/50 raffles and giveaways for the fans in attendance. Membership in the American Outlaws is not required to attend; all supporters of the U.S. are encouraged to come cheer their team to victory. More information is available at
