Woman wanted for stealing wallets from Bossier City hair salon

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

Bossier Crime Stoppers are asking the public for help to identify and catch a woman who stole wallets from a hair salon and then made purchases with the victims' bank cards.

Officials say it happened in April at the Sheer Rezults Hair Salon in the 4500 block of Barksdale Boulevard.

The suspect entered the salon and took two wallets out of two purses then left without the victims knowing. Investigators say the woman then used the bank cards inside the wallets to make more than $700 in purchases at the Dollar General Store in the 4600 block of Barksdale Boulevard and the Walmart in the 2500 block of Airline Drive that same day.

The suspect was caught on security camera video exiting the Walmart and leaving in a blue pickup truck. She has black shoulder length hair and was wearing a black t-shirt with a red and white graphic on the front, black pants and flip flop type sandals. She was also carrying a white purse.

Anyone who can help authorities identify this suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100.

    Medical Mutual of Ohio has confirmed that an employee sent 45 emails to the wrong person containing personal information for more than 6,000 of its Medicare Advantage customers.  According to a spokesperson for Med Mutual, based in Cleveland, this was an accident because the employee typed in an incorrect email address and the data was going to a third party that didn't have authorization to be looking at private information.
