Crews in Sheffield Township got busy early Thursday collecting downed tree limbs.
But despite the early start, its going to be days before they get it all cleaned up.
They are sounds that will be heard a lot in the next few days chipper trucks and chainsaws.
What appears to be straight line winds tore through the area taking out tree after tree. Falling limbs even took out power and cable lines and the power still hasn't been restored to a wide area.
"I told everybody go inside -- go inside. It was kinda like real fast," said a Sheffield Township resident.
"Did you go in the basement or anything?" asked Reporter Paul Orlousky.
"We all went in the basement," he answered.
In some places front yards looked like swimming pools. In others, swimming pools looked like front yards.
There doesn't appear to be twisting in the downed limbs which would indicate a tornado but the damage is still bad.
The storm also stirred up memories for old timers here in Sheffield Township.
A tornado hit the area 25 years ago and took out that radio tower. This time trees, not property took most of the hit.
