Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a robbery Tuesday at the Miami Savings Bank in the 8000 block of Ferry Street in Whitewater Township.
The incident happened at approximately 1:36 p.m. The sheriff's office said a male white suspect in his 20s entered the bank and demanded money from teller.
The suspect implied that he had a gun but none was seen. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the subject fled the bank in a southerly direction on foot.
Deputies as well as neighboring law enforcement responded to the scene and secured a perimeter. The area was searched by K-9 and helicopter but the suspect was able to avoid immediate capture.
The sheriff's office said the suspect was in another nearby bank just prior to the robbery and deputies obtained security video from both locations.
There were several employees in the bank at the time of this robbery but no one was injured.
The suspect was wearing a white long-sleeve button-down shirt and blue jeans. He has brown hair and a moustache.
Anyone with information on this subject or the robbery is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 513-352-3040 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
