CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Heights Police say they have arrested five suspects in the deadly shooting of a popular bar owner. They have not yet been charged.

The first arrests were actually made Monday night. All suspects are from Cleveland.

"We're very confident that we have the people that were inside that restaurant. These cowards, I call them cowards because it's what they are, are individuals who preyed upon an innocent business owner," said Chief Jeffrey Robinson.

Police are still looking for additional suspects.

"Through this continuing investigation, as it goes and unfolds, we're bringing more people into the fold," Chief Robertson said.

Jim Brennan was shot and killed inside his bar/restaurant, Brennan's Colony, after an attempted robbery Monday afternoon.

Police have been searching the area since the shooting, witnesses said the suspects fled on foot heading East on Silsby Road.

Brennan, 61, owned the bar for years. More than 1,000 people gathered to remember him at a vigil on Tuesday night.
