RALEIGH, NC (WOIO) -

Cleveland Browns Receiver Josh  Gordon is out on a $500 bond after being arrested for driving while impaired.

Gordon was arrested around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 4.

Officers pulled him over for speeding.  He was going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone.

The arresting officer detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from Gordon.

According to CBS affiliate WRAL, Gordon admitted to consuming three mixed drinks.  His blood alcohol was listed as .09.

Gordon will be at the Wake County Justice Center at 9 a.m. on August 26.

Browns GM Ray Farmer said the team is aware of the arrest and is disappointed.

Gordon added the Fourth of July run in with police to his list of legal and professional woes.

Before the most recent incident Gordon was already facing a one-year suspension from the NFL for testing positive for marijuana and failing two drug tests.  A hearing is set for late July, unless they work out a reduced suspension.

Gordon was also pulled over during Memorial Day weekend for speeding on I-71 in Strongsville. His passenger, Terrell McKenzie, was ticketed for possession of marijuana.
