Cleveland Police are looking for a suspect after two young children are robbed at gunpoint.

Officers say the robbery occurred in the 2100 block of West 38th Street on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The victims were a 9-year-old and a 5-year-old who were riding their bikes in their front yard area. Two brothers just trying to play.

According to the report, the suspect approached the 9-year-old and said "Give me your bike".

The suspect pushed the 5-year-old off his bike and pointed a black handgun at the 9-year-old, pulling the bike from him.

A witness told us she saw the man who pointed the gun at the children. Moments before the incident, she heard someone trying to break into her home. She was already on the phone with the police.

"I was on the phone with dispatch. I looked up and this guy was grabbing the bike from the two little kids across the street," the witness said.
This suspect stole a black Schwinn kids mountain bike with "Schwinn" in orange.

"It's awful that anybody would be faced with that but they're little tiny kids," said the witness.

Merideth Morgan is new to the neighborhood.

"I'm in just complete shock, Morgan said. "I want to continue to ride my bike and not be afraid."
