An Ohio gun rights activist group, Ohio Carry, will be holding a rally in Public Square today from 1-4 p.m.
The group is planning to protest the new firearm & gun laws proposed by Cleveland's Mayor Frank Jackson.
On June 17, Mayor Jackson laid out his plan to try and curb gun violence in Cleveland. The laws proposed include a registry of those convicted on gun offences, laws restricting gun owners from leaving weapons accessible to minors, and limiting gun purchases to one gun per person every three months.
Ohio Carry says that the Mayor cannot enforce the laws and that half the laws are already state law and the city ordinances are redundant.
19 Action News plans to be at the rally, and you can see footage of the event at 6 & 11 p.m. on Sunday.
