SOUTH EUCLID, OH (WOIO) -

The city council meeting in South Euclid came to an abrupt ending tonight, after South Euclid Police received a bomb threat.

The call originally came into Parma Police at 7:34 p.m.

The caller said that the South Euclid Police Department was going to get "blasted," and that they had a half hour to leave the building, Assistant Chief Jon Franey told 19 Action News.

The city said council entered into emergency executive session and then canceled the meeting. Residents were asked to leave quickly and orderly and the building was evacuated in five minutes.

The RTA bomb dog is on the scene. An initial sweep showed no explosives were in the building.

There are no injuries reported.

19 Action News has a crew heading to the scene and will bring you more details at 10 & 11.
