Monday will see a gray start with mostly cloudy skies and foggy conditions, with scattered showers across the area.
Temperatures will slowly climb into the lower 80s across the Upstate while western North Carolina reaches the upper 70s.
Winds will start off light to calm then eventually pick up out of the Northeast between 5 and 10 mph in the Upstate. Western North Carolina will see winds mainly out of the Southeast between three and eight miles per hour.
Off and on rain showers will be likely for much of the area with a possibility of a thunderstorm embedded in the cluster of rain as well. Both the Upstate and the mountains can experience about a half an inch of rain throughout the day on Monday with areas hit by thunderstorms possibly seeing a little more.
Rain chances will continue for Tuesday as temperatures continue to slowly increase and approach normal by weeks end. Look to see this off and on rain pattern continue throughout the week as well.
