AURORA, OH (WOIO) - Police interrupt a home burglary in process and discover the suspects are linked to other local robberies.
Authorities report that on July 18 and 19, two structures were broken into on East Aurora Road in Twinsburg Township.
Officers say the two suspects were attempting to break into a third structure, but failed to make entry.
During the incidents several items were stolen including horse tack, a purse, a wallet, a .22 rifle, ammunition, and a 2011 Ford Focus.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office responded to process the scene along with the Summit County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit.
On Monday, July 21, Aurora Police apprehended three suspects as they were in the process of burglarizing a residence around 12:20 a.m.
The suspects were inside the stolen Ford Focus.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office conducted searches in Cleveland and Bainbridge Township. Sheriff's Detectives subsequently recovered the stolen property taken from Twinsburg Township.
19-year-old Patrick Kelley, of Cleveland, and 18-year-old Tyley Hodge, of Aurora, were arrested and charged with breaking & entering.
They were booked into the Portage County Jail.
Inspector Bill Holland says the third suspect found inside the stolen vehicle may be charged by the Aurora Police Department in the near future.
