BEREA, OH (WOIO) -

We're still more than a month away from the first game of the season, but Cleveland Browns fans are already fired up!

It's a new day with a new big name dawg.

"I think 'Johnny Football' is going to help bring the excitement to the team that we've been needing for a while," said Steve Bailey.

This guy is having trouble finding the words...

"I feel like we're really gonna go really far this year, baby! We got the defense. We got the offense. We're gonna go all the way!" said the enthusiastic fan.

Fans feel they don't have to look too far into the future to see a team bound for the playoffs.

"This year, you can feel a change. There's a change in the front office, to the players. Definitely a change and it's exciting," said Bailey.

"We have a coach that's determined and players with heart," said a female fan.

"This is like Christmas for me! I've been a Browns fan since I was 8 years old. True and tried dyed in the wool," said Steve Hodge with the Westerville Browns Backers.

The vibe at training camp is almost palpable of hope and promise. An estimated 4,500 fans showed up to watch the team and of course, chant, "Here we go Brownies, here we go!"

"I'm almost in tears to be honest with you. All fired up. Couldn't have any more adrenaline at 9:30 in the morning. Up at 6:30. Here at 7:30 in line. It's football season," said Brian Kozieracki.

Which explains the Manziel mimicking senior and junior pumpkin heads.

"We're loyal, compassionate fans who support this team through thick and thin. Gonna be an exciting year for us. Can't wait!" said Gus Angelone with the Pumpkin Head Browns Backers.

If you're going to training camp this summer, send us your photos at pics@19actionnews.com and we'll add them to our slideshow!
