For the second time in as many nights, Billy Butler hit a game deciding two-run homer against the Indians. After drilling a two-run homer on Friday night to lift KC to a 6-4 win, Butler clobbered another two run shot on Saturday to beat Cleveland 7-5.
The Indians jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second inning. Carlos Santana hit a solo homer, his third in two nights. That started a five run inning that saw Jason Kipnis drive in a pair and Michael Brantley deliver an RBI double.
Things started to fall apart for the Tribe in the fourth. Nori Aoki hit a two-run triple and would come home to score the tying run on a Yan Gomes passed ball. Butler's home run came in the next inning.
Kansas City will play for the four game sweep on Sunday afternoon.
