NORTHEAST OHIO (WOIO) -

As of Monday evening just under 1,000 Illuminating Company customers are without power. The majority of those affected are in Cuyahoga County, more specifically in Lakewood.

On Sunday night in Bedford Heights, a motorist ignored the warning and tried to pass the high water, leaving the car submerged nearly to its roof. Almost as quickly as the high waters came up, they receded.
