Couple accused of hiding meth chemicals near local McDonald's

GEAUGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

Detectives with the Geauga County Sheriff's Office arrested two Orwell residents for possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of methamphetamines.

Rhonda L. Toke, 48, from Orwell, Ohio was arrested after she purchased chemicals to be used in the manufacturing of meth.

Jonathan L. Byler, 26, from Orwell as well, was also arrested after he purchased chemicals to assist Toke in the manufacturing of meth.

Byler attempted to conceal the chemical in a bush near McDonald's in Middlefield Village.

Detectives along with officers from Middlefield Village assisted in locating the chemicals.

Both Toke and Byler were arraigned in Chardon Municipal Court and received a $10,000 bond.
