(FOX19) -

The frustrating and lengthy lines at airport security is a most dreaded experience for airline travelers. The TSA even recognizes this and they're asking for help.

The agency is soliciting the public to share ideas for a more efficient security screening process, offering up $15,000 for the solutions.

"Solvers are expected to provide the concept and provide evidence that it works as described in the requirements," that challenge overview states. They're looking for a model that includes a way to move travelers through airport queues while taking peak flight-hours, flight schedules and TSA staffing into consideration.

The TSA says they will award one prize of at least $5,000 and others of at least $2,500 for the top ideas. More than 2000 solutions have been submitted in the last two weeks.

Have an idea on how to improve the security screening process? You can submit it and find out more information here at innocentive.com.
