One of the drivers hospitalized after Tuesday's horrific crash on I-90 in Sheffield Village Tuesday is improving.

21-year-old Adam Couture, of Gardner, Massachusetts, is now in good condition.

The driver of the car that struck him, Kevin McHue, 25, remains in critical condition.

The accident happened on I-90 eastbound, near State Route 611, just before 11:00 a.m.

Sheffield Village Police officers McHue was traveling west on I-90 when he went out of his lane and bumped a car driven by Nikki Krisher of Avon. She was not injured.

The impact caused McHue to lose control, cross the median, enter I-90 eastbound and slam head-on into Couture's car.

So far no charges have been filed.
