Teenager rescued from the Chagrin River

WILLOUGHBY, OH (WOIO)

A 14-year-old girl was rescued from the Chagrin River.

Firefighters say the girl fell in around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 3100 Reeves Road.

She was quickly swept downstream by the swift current.

The teen was able to get to a rock in the river and was rescued by Willoughby Firefighters in a rescue boat.

She was evaluated for hypothermia, but is otherwise ok.
