A 19 Action News investigation has uncovered startling new information about a teen girl just arrested for robbing two other girls with a gun.
After digging up juvenile court records, we've learned the 16-year-old girl arrested for the robbery shouldn't have even been on the streets because she was wanted for other cases.
The teen is suspected of robbing two west side Cleveland girls of their phones. Then police say she took those phones to a store to unlock and clear them.
It turns out, she's actually wanted for two theft cases, along with not paying a fare on the RTA. She also has past convictions for assault, menacing, intimidating a victim or witness. Plus, she's had charges for felony assault with a weapon dropped.
Records show the teen had been wanted for months.
Cuyahoga County has more than 10,000 wanted adult felons. It's unclear if the juvenile court was trying to find her or just couldn't find her.
