TWINSBURG, OH (WOIO) - The 39th Annual Twins Day Festival will be held this weekend, August 2 and 3. This year's theme is "Twinstock-Groovy in Twinsburg," celebrating the 60's and 70's time period.
The event is the world's largest annual gathering of twins, holding a record in the Guinness Book of World Records. It's held at 10270 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg.
Admission is $4 per person, and children under 5 are free. Twins can register online for $15 a pair for the whole weekend, or $20 at the gate. Parking is available for $3 at Twinsburg High School.
The festival is open to all multiples; identical, fraternal, twins, triplets, quadruplets, and their families. All ages are welcome as well. Twins are encouraged to register. You can download a form here.
The weekend kicks off on Friday for twins and their families only. The festival begins Saturday morning with the "Double Take" Parade. There will also be twins contests, talent show, group photo, liver entertainment, arts and crafts, small amusement rides and fireworks.
Sunday morning there is a 5K Run and Fun Walk to benefit the Melanoma Education Initiative, in addition to the regular festivities.
