TWINSBURG, OH (WOIO) - Fire officials confirm a plant fire at Reserve Alloys, LLC on Highland Road in Twinsburg. The call came in around 7:10 p.m.
Firefighters say it was a minor explosion. When they arrived, the building was filled with heavy black smoke. It's possible that insulation caught on fire, but they are still investigating the cause.
According to its website, Reserve Alloys acquires and processes aluminum scrap. The facility also does mechanical shredding and screening, sorting, baling, shearing, and waste/metal eddy-current separation.
A full shift was on duty at the time of the fire, with approximately 12 employees. They were all evacuated safely.
No one was hurt.
