CPD investigate two murders just hours apart

The Cleveland Police Department is investigating two separate murders that occurred within hours of each other.

Arturio Young, 19, was shot around 11:00 p.m. Thursday in the 3600 block of E.139th Street.

Officers were called to the area for shots fired and found Young lying on a tree lawn. EMS arrived and took him to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died.

Then around 1:45 a.m. Friday, Cleveland Fire, EMS and Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at E.127 and Ferris.

Fire and EMS arrived first and noticed an unresponsive man in an SUV that had driven onto the lawn of a home in the area of E.127 and Ferris.

The victim, identified as Marcellus Brown, 25, had what appeared to be a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators ask that anyone with information related to either incident call the Homicide Unit at 216-623-5464 or Crimestoppers at 216-252-7463.
