Amber Alert canceled after children found safe, but suspect still wanted

An Amber Alert previously issued for the region has now been canceled, according to Ohio Amber Alert and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Authorities issued the alert for Fairfield County around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Avariah and Jamie Overstreet, both 4, were reported missing, last seen on US-33 south of Diley Road at 2:10 p.m. on Saturday.

Both children were recovered safe late in the afternoon.

The suspect, Jamie Overstreet, was not taken into custody because law enforcement is still looking for him.

He is a black male, approximately 27, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'8" and weighs 240 lbs.
