Police: Alcohol a factor in deadly motorcycle crash

CANTON, OH (WOIO) -
The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash, which occurred on August 10 at around 7:40 p.m. on South Second Street near Warwick Road in the Village of Clinton of Summit County.

A black 1987 Harley Davidson Sportster was traveling southwest and failed to negotiate a curve. The Harley Davidson traveled off the west edge of the roadway striking a guardrail prior to coming to final rest.

The Harley Davidson was operated by Martin S. Gougler, 50, of Marshallville, Ohio. He died from his injuries.

Alcohol is suspected and a helmet was not used. The crash remains under investigation.
