A Warrensville Heights man convicted of killing his passenger in a drunk driving accident, was sentenced Tuesday to nine years in prison.
James Cook, 34, lost control of his car and struck a Family Dollar Store in Cleveland this past April.
Besides being drunk, Cook was also speeding.
Amanda Lawrence, 27, was killed and three other passengers were seriously injured. Part of the crash was caught on store surveillance tape.
Lawrence leaves behind a small child.
Cook knew all the victims.
He had no prior DUI's.
