Indiana Pacers President Larry Bird and Head Coach Frank Vogel met with reporters on Monday to speak on Paul George's condition. They both think that George will eventually make a full recovery, they just aren't sure when. As of now, the Pacers are planning on Paul George to be out for the entire 2014-2015 season after he suffered a compound fracture in his leg during the Team USA exhibition game at the beginning of August.
"No one has told us he's going to be out for the whole year, but based off our conversations, we're expecting him to be out for the whole year but we don't really know. ... If he can play, he's going to play," said Bird.
Since the accident, George has had surgery and is currently on the road to recovery. The Pacers odds of contention for the title has drastically decreased. The team is looking for a replacement and rumors say that Indiana, like the Cleveland Cavaliers, have shown interest in Shawn Marion.
