Missing Adult Alert issued statewide for Cleveland man

Cleveland Police have issued a Missing Adult Alert statewide.

Officers are asking members of the public to stay on the look out for 79-year-old Frederick "Freddy" Maynard.

Maynard left his home on W. 65 on Thursday, August 14 at 9:45 and hasn't returned.

He is described as a White male, who is 5'6" tall and weighs 160 lbs, with gray hair, and blue eyes.

Authorities say that Maynard suffers from Alzheimer's and can be combative.  He wears blue rimmed glasses. He may be going to West Virginia by way of I-71.

The vehicle involved is a blue 2008 Ford Ranger with OH plate number EEV3890. 

Police urge anyone with information or who has seen Maynard or his vehicle to dial 911 or call 1-866-693-9171 to be transferred directly to the investigating law enforcement agency or to hear the alert information.
