CANTON, OH (WOIO) -

Mercy Medical Center in Canton was briefly placed on lock down late Sunday morning after the hospital had received several calls regarding a bomb threat in the parking lot and hospital.

The Canton Police K-9 Bomb Unit with assistance from the Summit County Bomb Squad searched the hospital and didn't find any bombs, but did find cell phone evidence leading detectives to Justin Longwell.

During interviews, Longwell admitted to placing the calls to the hospital and was charged with making terroristic threats, inducing panic and obstructing official business.

Longwell was booked into the Stark County Jail.
