RubberDucks Conclude Road Trip with 3-2 Loss

(Manchester, N. Hamp.) August 17, 2014 – The New Hampshire Fisher Cats used a two-run single from Cory Aldridge and a bases-loaded walk to Mike McDade in the sixth inning of Sunday's game to rally from a two-run deficit and claim a 3-2 victory over the Akron RubberDucks at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

The loss stunned the RubberDucks and starter Joe Colon (8-7), who had cruised through the first five innings. The RubberDucks failed for the second straight day to overtake first-place in the EL West. The Richmond Flying Squirrels lost at Portland, 7-1, Sunday, but remain a half-game ahead of the RubberDucks (70-58). Akron currently holds a 6-game lead over third-place Bowie with 14 games left to play. The top two teams in the division earn post-season berths.
