(WOIO) - Funeral plans are set for the Kent State University football player who died unexpectedly this week.
Jason Bitsko, 21, was found dead in his off-campus apartment on Wednesday morning.
The Portage County coroner says the autopsy has been completed, but a cause of death will not be determined for several weeks. However, it does appear to be natural causes.
According to the Dayton Daily News, visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the St. Peter Catholic Church Family Center Gymnasium in Huber Heights. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the sanctuary with a burial to follow at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the burial, a reception will be held at the Huber Heights Athletic Center.
Jason's parents, Randy and Pam, are asking that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the Jason Bitsko Memorial Fund to support the Kent State University Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Checks should include "Jason Bitsko Memorial Fund" in the memo line and be mailed to the Coalition for Christian Outreach at 5912 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206.
You can also make a donation online.
KSU football players will wear #54 on their helmets during the upcoming season, which starts in one week.
Those paying tribute via social media are asked to use #KSUJason54.
