The Cleveland Police Department is requesting public assistance to identify a suspect.

Detectives have released two photos of a suspect who robbed a Subway restaurant at 3300 Clark Avenue on Friday, August 15, 2014.

Officers say the suspect entered Subway, ordered a sandwich and then produced black 9 mm handgun.

The suspect jumped the counter and demanded that the employees put an unknown amount of money into a plastic bag. The suspect then told the victims to give him all the cameras or he will kill them.

The employees were locked in a back room before the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20's, about 5'8" tall, weighing 160 pounds.  The suspect has acne scars on his cheeks.  He is seen wearing a designer tan plaid jacket with a logo on the back with a matching hat and black shoes with white soles.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Janet Murphy at the Second District Detective Bureau at 623-5218 or email jmurphy3@city.cleveland.oh.us.
