CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Heights Police are investigating a gas station robbery that occurred on Monday, August 25.

Surveillance video shows the man walking into the Cedar HIll Sunoco around 3 p.m. and demanding money from the register.

The suspect told employees that he had a weapon but in fact pressed his index finger into the back of an employee's neck.

The suspect did not brandish a weapon but was able to leave the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

As the suspect was fleeing, the employee pursued him and fired five rounds at the suspect, striking his car in the front and passenger side area.

The suspect vehicle is described as a small to midsized black sedan.

The photos show a white male, possibly of Arab descent with a distinct tattoo on his left upper arm. The employee states that the suspect is approximately 5"9" tall with a medium build.

Officers say do not approach the suspect if you know his whereabouts but to instead contact the police immediately.

If you recognize this male contact CHPD at (216) 321-1234 or call the "TIP" line at (216) 291-5010.  Callers may remain anonymous.
