LAKE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The Lake County woman at the center of a deadly love triangle appeared in court Thursday.

Sabrina Zunich came to court facing a September trial for murdering her foster mother Lisa M. Knoefel. The trial won't happen.

Zunich, who admitted to stabbing her foster mother more than 130 times at their Willoughby Hills home, changed her murder plea to guilty.

She was having an affair with Lisa's husband, who was also her foster father Kevin D. Knoefel, and expected to be with him after Lisa was dead.

Zunich was arrested immediately after the November 16, 2012 murder and has been locked up in the Lake County Jail ever since.

She testified against Knoefel during his trial last month. The jury believed prosecutors, that he was the mastermind behind the murder. Kevin was found guilty of six counts of sexual battery against Sabrina Zunich, two counts of conspiracy to commit the aggravated murder and two counts of complicity of aggravated murder.

Judge Gibson sentenced him to life with no parole for at least 30 years and 12 years for the sexual relationship when Zunich was a minor.

Zunich pled guilty to aggravated murder.

Prosecutors have recommended a sentence of life in prison with a chance of parole after 30 years. Judge Collins will likely accept the prosecutors recommendation but is not bound to. He ordered a pre-sentencing investigation and will have the final say.

Zunich will be sentenced on September 29.
