The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) announces that full service for the Red Line has recommenced, effective as of 3 a.m. on Friday, August 29.
Rail service to three rapid stations on the eastern end of the Red Line in Cleveland and East Cleveland had been replaced by shuttle buses since early June.
The change was implemented to accommodate the construction of a new rail station in Little Italy, at Mayfield Road and East 119th Street.
The station will be known as the Little Italy-University Circle Station when it opens in fall 2015.
The Red Line operates between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and the Louis Stokes Station at Windermere in East Cleveland.
