A Talawanda High School student is accused of threatening to bring guns to school following a game of Truth or Dare.

A school resource officer with the Butler County Sheriff's Office received information about a student reportedly planning to come to school Friday with a handgun and rifle hidden under a trench coat.

Detectives located the 15-year-old student and found out he had been playing a Truth or Dare-style game and threatened to go to school with the weapons.

The student's residence was searched as a precaution and no weapons were found, the sheriff's office said.

The student was charged with juvenile delinquency by reason of making terroristic threats, the authorities said.

"The safety and security of our schools is our utmost concern. Any threat or rumor will be taken seriously and those making the threats will face prosecution" said Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.
