What you need to know about game between the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals last night in Kansas City.
The Royals tied the game up at 2 in the bottom of the 9th inning last night, leading the game into extra innings.
Lonnie Chisenhall came through for the Tribe in the top of the 10th inning by hitting a 2-run double to right field. The rain started coming down as the bottom of the 10th inning began. After a delay of 58 minutes, the game was suspended. The game will be finished on Tuesday, September 22nd when the Royals come to Progressive field.
The Indians open a 4-game series tonight against the Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field. Corey Kluber will take the mound for the Tribe, and the Tigers will send out newly acquired David Price.
Indians are 3 games behind the first place Kansas City Royals in the AL Central Division. They're also 3 games back for the final spots in the Wild Card race behind the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers.
The Indians also added five players to roster. RHP Austin Adams, INF Jesus Aguilar, and RHP Bryan Price have all been recalled from Triple-A Columbus. The Tribe also activated DH Jason Giambi from the 60-day Disabled List, also reinstated C Chris Gimenez from Paternity List.
