The Good News, the Indians are playing meaningful baseball in September. The bad news, September got off to a rough start as the Tigers delivered Corey Kluber his worst start of the year, pounding the Tribe 12-1 in the series opener.
Kluber gave up a career high three homeruns and didn't make it out of the third inning, getting yanked after just 58 pitches.
He was rocked for 5 earned runs on seven hits in his two and two-thirds innings. Miguel Cabrera continued his dominance over the Indians, homering twice and going 4-for-5 at the plate. Indians pitching gave up 5 homeruns and 20 hits in the defeat.
The Indians continue their four-game series on Tuesday with Carlos Carrasco on the hill.
