BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

We're seeing a lot of development at the Liberty Center retail project.  Last Thursday, Butler County Commissioners approved the final subdivision plans for the development.

Liberty Center is a $350 million dollar shopping, office, residential and dining complex under construction now at the intersection of Ohio 129, Interstate 75 and Liberty Way.

The complex is set to open in fall 2015.  Liberty Center's first phase consists of 69 acres.

Some of tenants announced so far include Cabela's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Dillard's department store, AC Hotels by Marriott, a movie theatre complex and the restaurant Pies & Pints.

Developers say the Marriott hotel, Dillard's, and the office building project will begin in the next 30 days.

Up to $43 million in taxpayer-backed funding was committed to the project including $31 million worth of publicly-backed bonds.  In addition a new half-percent sales tax will also apply to any purchases made at the new development.

The revenue will help fund the shopping center.
