A 28-year-old man was shot during a home invasion on Cleveland's west side early Wednesday morning.
This happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of West 31st Street.
The Parma man tells Cleveland Police he was at his mom's home, which he is rehabilitating, and while he was outside smoking, an armed suspect approached him.
He was ordered back into the home at gunpoint and two other suspects entered the house by kicking in the door.
All three suspects ordered the victim and a 31-year-old woman, who was also inside the home, onto the ground. The suspects demanded drugs and money and stole $50 from the man's wallet.
All three suspects shot at the front door multiple times and as they fled, one suspect turned and shot the victim in the neck, causing superficial injuries.
The man and woman drove themselves to MetroHealth Medical Center and called police.
There are no arrests.
