BEDFORD, OH (WOIO) - Former Bedford Law Director and Prosecutor Kenneth Schuman was sentenced to six months in jail.
On July 24, Schuman pled guilty to accepting money from a firm that received a city contract. After the company got the contract, they paid Schuman $9500.
Judge Brian Corrigan also sentenced Schuman to 18 months of community control, a $2500 fine and $1000 in restitution.
Schuman, 42, was indicted on December 19 and resigned from his city position in a letter dated April 27.
