AKRON, OH (WOIO) - The Akron Police Department and U.S. Marshals Office Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is asking for assistance from the public for information that could lead to the arrest of a wanted fugitive, Devanae T.A. Griffin.
Devanae Tyronne-Anthony Griffin, 19, of Akron, is wanted for aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery. Officials say Griffin was involved in the death of Darryl Trammell, who was found shot inside his home on East Brookside Avenue back on Aug. 18. Griffin and two other male suspects then ransacked Trammell's house, taking a cell phone and hats.
The two other suspects: Dustin Terrel Melton, 29, of Akron, and Michael Jermaine Crockett II, 23, of Akron, are both in custody. They were charged with aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery. They are currently in the Summit County Jail.
A reward is being offered by the U. S. Marshals Office Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Summit County Crimestoppers, Inc. for information directly related to the arrest of Griffin.
Griffin is described as a black male, 6' tall, 160 lbs. He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
