CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Heights Police arrested a man in connection with a gas station robbery that happened last week.
Amjad Awad, of Cleveland, was arrested Tuesday night. He is currently in Cleveland Heights Jail under a $75,000 bond.
Awad is accused of robbing the Cedar Hill Sunoco on the afternoon of August 25th.
The security camera shows a man putting his finger to the clerk's neck, saying he had a gun. The clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of money and he left.
The clerk then chased the suspect out into the parking lot and fired five rounds, all of them hitting the suspect's car. The clerk was fired following the incident.
Cleveland Heights Police Detectives worked on the investigation.
