AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Akron Police are still looking for the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery of an Aldi grocery store earlier this week. They're hoping surveillance video will help the public identify him.

Officers say the man walked into the store at 1620 Brittain Road around 6 p.m. Sept. 2 and approached the cash registers and brandished a pistol.

According to the female employee, the suspect told her "not to be stupid" as he reached into her drawer and took the money.

Witnesses say the suspect fled the scene on foot, headed in a westbound direction.

The suspect is described as a white male, standing 5'8" tall, weighing 150-155 lbs with brown hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue bandana, dark blue or black jacket and plaid pants.

Anyone with more information is urged to contact the Akron Police Department at 330-375-2181 or Det. Surblis at 330-375-2490.
