Associated Press is reporting a Law enforcement official sent a copy of the elevator footage of Ray Rice to NFL back in April.
Goodell told CBS on Tuesday that "no one in the NFL, to my knowledge" had seen a new video of what happened on the elevator until it was posted online by TMZ.com on Monday.
Goodell claims the NFL only saw the footage that was released to public of Rice dragging his then Fiancee out the elevator when they handed Rice the two-game suspension.
ESPN's Adam Scheftner tweeted "NFL-'We have no knowledge of this. We are not aware of anyone in our office who possessed or saw the video before it was made public on Monday. We will look into it."
The NFL has caught a lot of criticism for the two-game suspension that Goodell gave Ray Rice.
