The Cleveland Indians host the Minnesota Twins in a double header, and win with ease in game 1.
Wednesdays game was rained out so the Tribe and Twins played a traditional double header today. The Indians won 8-2.
Corey Kluber got the start for the Tribe, seeking his 15th win on the season.
Kyle Gibson took the mound for the Twins. Things got rocky really fast for Gibson though.
The Twins attacked first with a Kennys Vargas single to left, Danny Santana scored.
The Tribe acted quick with a Carlos Santana 2-homerun to right.
Yan Gomes added another in the 2nd with a homerun to left. Tribe up 3-1.
The 3rd inning is when the Indians tagged Gibson for 4 more runs giving them a 7-1 lead. Michael Brantley scored one run on a single to right, Gomes doubled and scored two, and Chisenhall hit a sacrifice fly to center with Jason Kipnis scoring.
In the 6th Michael Brantley added another RBI with a single to right. Indians up 8-1.
Top 9- The Twins get to Kluber by knocking in 1 run, which ended Klubers night. Kluber finished pitching 8.1 innings, 8H, 2ER, 7KO's.
Tribe improve to 75-69 on the season, Twins fall to 62-83 on the year.
