The Judge in the Oscar Pistorius trial ruled out Premeditated murder, and murder for Pistorius.
The double-amputee Olympian is on trial for the shooting death of his then girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
Pistorius is still facing charges for manslaughter. Pistorius could still be sent to jail for a maximum of 15 years if convicted of culpable homicide. Culpable homicide is when there is a killing of someone through reckless or negligent behavior.
Being not guilty for premeditated murder is huge for Pistorius because Premeditated, other wise known as a planned murder, would carry a heavier sentence.
ESPN will have coverage on the verdict which will continue to be read starting at 2 a.m. EST on Friday.
