Adam Schefter of ESPN tweeted that when a new drug policy is approved, Cleveland Browns WR, Josh Gordon's suspension could be reduced to 8 games.
Other players such as Wes Welker will likely have his suspension completely voided, the reason Gordon will still have to serve is because his drug test that he failed was in 2013, where as Welker's was in 2014.
The NFL and the Union have been trying to approve the new drug policy for over a week and both sides feel that they're close.
If or when Gordon's suspension gets cut to 8 games, his first game would be against the Cincinnati Bengal's on the Thursday night game in week 10. Because of the Browns week 4 bye, his 8th game would be week 9, therefore having him for the prime time game in week 10.
